The on-site restaurant serves simple yet delicious food, including a house beer, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful, even during busy periods. The site excels in catering to all types of travelers, with dedicated areas for tent campers, groups, families, couples, and dogs, ensuring everyone finds their perfect spot. However, significant criticisms have emerged regarding the sanitary facilities, which are often described as outdated, mouldy, and insufficient for the site's size, with only four showers serving entire sections and constant queues at the toilets. The cleaning schedule is problematic, as maintenance occurs during peak morning hours when guests need the facilities most. Management is reportedly aware of these issues but has deemed building another sanitary block financially unviable, a stance many consider unacceptable given the high price level. The campsite has seen a drastic price increase of over 25% between 2022 and 2023 without corresponding improvements, leading to a perception of profit-driven management that has driven away long-term campers. Staff behavior has been inconsistent; while some guests praise the dedicated family-run team, others report rude receptionists, inflexible attitudes, and night wardens who patrol arrogantly from 21:30. Groups have been forced to leave for playing music, despite the site historically being popular with groups during holidays. The nearby highway can be audible depending on the pitch location, though most guests find it acceptable. The Wi-Fi is virtually unusable, and electricity must sometimes be shared with other campers.
