Nestled in Spain's Basque Country, this campsite offers a convenient base for exploring the region, being roughly 20 kilometers from Vitoria-Gasteiz and close to the motorway, making it an ideal stopover for long journeys. The site enjoys a peaceful setting with panoramic views over the valley and surrounding countryside, perfect for relaxing walks and enjoying the natural beauty. Guests consistently praise the exceptionally friendly and helpful owners and staff, who go out of their way to provide local tips and create a welcoming atmosphere. The pitches are notably spacious and comfortable, even accommodating large caravans, and guests are often allowed to choose their own spot with beautiful vistas. A standout feature is the on-site restaurant, which serves excellent meals prepared by a skilled cook, offering fresh fish, salads, burgers, and steaks at reasonable prices. The heated indoor swimming pool is a pleasant bonus, though a swim cap is required and its opening hours may be unusual. Sanitary facilities are kept very clean and well-maintained, with sufficient toilets and good showers, though hot water supply can occasionally be inconsistent. The campsite has a small shop selling bread and basic essentials, but the nearest supermarket is about 20 kilometers away, so planning is advised. Free Wi-Fi is available near the reception area, and the site accepts ACSI discounts during low and shoulder seasons. Some areas of the campsite have young trees that do not yet provide significant shade, and certain parts can be noisy on weekends when many Spanish guests arrive for short stays. Leveling a caravan can be challenging on some pitches, and accessing the site with a larger camper requires attention to road signs rather than relying solely on GPS. Late September nights can be chilly despite warm daytime weather, so packing layers is recommended. The surrounding area offers interesting excursions, such as the unique salt pans of Salines de Añana and charming villages, with Burgos also within reach about 100 kilometers away. Overall, this campsite is highly recommended for a peaceful few days in a scenic location with warm hospitality.
