This campsite near Peñíscola is a coastal favorite, praised year after year for its exceptionally clean and modern sanitary facilities that are maintained multiple times a day. The staff are consistently described as incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, often going out of their way to assist guests with information and special requests. Spacious pitches offer a mix of shade and sun, with some providing extra privacy, making it a comfortable base for campervans and tents alike. The on-site restaurant serves affordable meals, including a popular paella, though opinions vary on quality, and it can sometimes disappoint. A supermarket and a pleasant beach are within easy walking or cycling distance, and the historic center of Peñíscola with its castle is about a 20-minute walk away. The area is ideal for cyclists and walkers, with safe paths to nearby towns and a nature reserve. The swimming pool is a nice addition for warmer months, though it may open later in the season. Dogs are welcome, but nearby barking can occasionally be a nuisance. The campsite can get busy during holiday weeks, leading to some noise, and a few pitches near the playground or waste areas may have unpleasant odors. Wi-Fi works well only near the restaurant, and electrical hookups are limited to 6 amps, which may not suit high-power appliances. Despite these minor drawbacks, the combination of superb cleanliness, kind staff, and great location offers excellent value for money, especially with longer stays or an ACSI card. Many guests extend their visits and express a strong desire to return.
