Perched in the heart of Fiesch, this campsite boasts a prime location with quick access to the cable car, train station, bus stops, and local shops, making it a hassle-free base for exploring the region without a car. The panoramic mountain views and peaceful atmosphere are widely loved, offering a serene escape for outdoor enthusiasts keen on hiking, walking, and cycling. A large children's playground and a swimming pool are popular family-friendly amenities that add to the site's appeal. However, the campsite draws sharply divided opinions: while the location and tranquility are top-notch, the condition and number of sanitary facilities are major pain points. The main washroom block is acceptable, but the tent-area facilities are described as run-down and neglected, creating a jarring contrast. Toilets and showers are often reported as unclean and too few, leading to queues during peak times. Showers cost extra—typically one Swiss franc for just three minutes—which many find frustrating for the price. The pitches themselves are not clearly marked, leading to boundary disputes, and there is very little shade, especially on the flat terrain. Staff encounters are inconsistent: some guests find them friendly, while others describe the owner as rude and confrontational, including shouting over minor infractions. Free WiFi only works reliably near the main building, leaving much of the site without signal. Value for money is a sticking point: the nightly rate is considered high by many, with additional charges for waste disposal and electricity metering that some appreciate for its fairness. A notable quirk is a threatening notice about fines for disposing rubbish in the dishwashing area, which has put off some guests. Despite these drawbacks, the campsite remains a convenient stopover for one or two nights, largely thanks to its unbeatable location and tranquil setting.
