This campsite enjoys a prime position right on the shores of Lake Maggiore, offering stunning lake views that guests consistently praise. The on-site restaurant receives glowing reviews for its delicious food, especially its superb pizzas, generous portions, and fair prices. Staff members are repeatedly noted as exceptionally friendly, helpful, and attentive to needs, from reception to the restaurant team. Pitches vary dramatically in quality: some are large and comfortable with good natural shade, while others are described as small and cramped, with the motorhome area near permanent tents looking like a shanty town. The best pitches are beside a stream, parallel to the road. The sanitary facilities are generally clean and modern, though some older blocks could benefit from renovation and hot water in the showers can run out quickly during peak times. Noise can be a significant issue, especially on weekends when local Italian campers create a raucous, anti-social atmosphere and a live band plays loudly past midnight. The site is located directly under the flight path of Malpensa Airport, with heavy aircraft noise that only stops after midnight. A notable drawback is the midday vehicle restriction between 12:30 and 14:30, which caught some arrivals off guard and limited access to the pitch. The swimming pool is very small, more like a toddler's paddling pool, and insufficient for the number of guests. The beach frontage is disappointingly short, though a separate dog beach is available. The surrounding area is quite urban, and on foot there is little to see, though buses run to Arona for ferry connections. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance near the stream that runs through the grounds. Overall, opinions are extremely polarized, with some guests vowing never to return while others thoroughly enjoy their stay. Despite minor criticisms, the overwhelming sentiment is that this is a clean, well-organized, and welcoming campsite ideal for a relaxing lakeside holiday when conditions align.
