This campsite on the shores of Lake Bourget offers a magnificent natural setting with affordable pitches and convenient access. When conditions are right, guests enjoy a beautiful lakeside location ideal for swimming and exploring the surrounding region. The staff receives high praise for being friendly, helpful, and creating a welcoming atmosphere, with some visitors even receiving a welcome drink. Cleanliness is a standout feature, especially in a brand-new sanitary block that is modern, clean, and top quality. The site is well-regarded for weekend getaways and nearby walks, with many guests planning to return due to the positive atmosphere. However, the campsite has been plagued by extreme noise from a massive construction project right next door, with building work starting as early as 6:00 a.m. and continuing until 18:00. Tower cranes swinging loads directly over pitches create safety concerns, and the beach has become far away and unusable for swimming. Showers are frustrating with a button that dispenses water for barely a second, making hair washing difficult. The dishwashing area is described as dilapidated and lacking hot water. Staff behavior is inconsistent: while some reception employees are very attentive, management is reportedly unfriendly and dishonest, dismissing complaints and lying about construction breaks. Guests who specifically requested peaceful spots were placed on the noisiest pitches. Multiple visitors left early after just one night, but the campsite refused refunds for unused prepaid nights unless cancellation insurance was purchased. Even assistance for a disabled guest requiring dialysis deliveries was denied. The on-site shop is unimpressive, and "comfort" pitches are criticized for being too small with untrimmed hedges and neglected grass. During quieter periods, such as late-season stays, the experience is described as cozy and enjoyable, with staff very available and responsive. Access to the lakeside can be inconvenient, requiring an 800-meter detour imposed by nearby festivals. Overall, this campsite combines natural appeal with attentive service during peaceful times, but noise sensitivity and seasonal availability should be carefully considered before booking.
