This campsite is a well-thought-out haven that clearly listens to what campers truly want. The sanitary block is spotless and generously equipped with showers and toilets, leaving a lasting impression of cleanliness. Pitches are impressively diverse, ranging from standard grass plots to private spots nestled among the dunes, offering a real sense of seclusion. Many guests highlight the spaciousness and privacy of the pitches, often separated by hedges for added tranquility. The natural landscape is stunning, with the site bordering a beautiful meadow and the sea, providing a serene backdrop. Its location is a major draw, with direct access to a lovely, uncrowded beach and a nearby harbor perfect for evening strolls. On-site amenities include a small shop for essentials, though a larger supermarket is a 20-minute drive away. A bar and a rotating food truck serve up tasty meals and local beers, creating a relaxed, social vibe. The staff are consistently described as friendly, helpful, and welcoming, with many speaking excellent English. While the overall atmosphere is peaceful, it can get a bit noisier during school holidays when families are present. Some guests noted that the electric hookups can be poor or overloaded, and there is no dedicated grey waste drop for motorhomes, though this is being addressed. Mobile phone signal can be patchy, and Wi-Fi is lacking, but for many, the chance to fall asleep to the sound of waves more than makes up for it. Nestled among dunes with direct beach access, this campsite is consistently praised as one of the most beautiful ever visited. The location is a standout feature, offering a natural, tranquil setting perfect for relaxation and enjoying stunning sunrises and sunsets. Pitches are generally spacious, many sheltered by hedges for privacy, though some guests found certain pitches smaller than advertised or assigned without choice. The friendly, helpful staff receive accolades for their warm welcome and local tips. Facilities are modern and very clean, with excellent hot showers and dishwashing areas; however, a major recurring complaint is the closure of the main sanitary block at 10pm, leaving only minimal toilets and showers open overnight, causing queues. Other drawbacks include limited electric hookups shared among pitches, no chemical toilet disposal point, and occasional noise from a nearby bar or children's camps. Dogs are welcome on site, but beach restrictions in summer and dog waste left by others are noted. A daily food truck, a small bar, and the ability to order fresh bread add to the convenience. There is no Wi-Fi, which some appreciate for a digital detox. The site also has a playground, a library with microwave and kettle, and eco-friendly practices like solar power and composting. Families and cyclists find it well-suited, and the nearby coastal path and birdwatching opportunities enhance the experience. Overall, despite some operational frustrations, the combination of stunning beachfront location, clean amenities, and welcoming atmosphere makes it a highly recommended destination.
