It serves as a practical overnight stop for travelers heading to or from France, as well as a convenient base for exploring Brussels, Leuven, and the surrounding area by bike or car. The site is well-maintained and tidy, with a barrier at the entrance for added security. The staff are consistently described as friendly, welcoming, and helpful, often going out of their way to assist guests, especially during challenging weather conditions. Pitches are generally spacious and even, though shade is limited to the edges of the field. Some areas provide a sense of privacy and seclusion while remaining close to facilities. The sanitary facilities are kept very clean and modern in recent years, with hot water available for showers and dishwashing. However, the setup can be confusing due to unusual basement-like locations and unclear door markings. Separate charges for showers and hot water (often coin-operated) detract from the experience, especially given that pitch fees are not cheap. Additional hidden costs for electricity, vehicle parking, and tourist tax mean the overall value for money is poor for some, despite booking under an ACSI rate. Noise from a nearby highway has been noted in some years. The site also does not always honor the ACSI code agreement.
