Electric hookupsQuietness
This campsite sits alongside a major highway and a river, making it a practical stopover with a pleasant natural setting. The nearby town is within a leisurely 20-minute walk. However, the site has seen better days, with outdated facilities and poor maintenance. Overcrowding is a recurring issue, leading to tightly packed pitches and scarce electrical hookups. The sanitary blocks, with just five showers and six toilets for the entire campground, are outdated and reportedly not cleaned. Guests sometimes find themselves placed on a grassy verge without prior warning. On-site services have declined: the restaurant and bakery shop that once provided meals and fresh bread rolls have been discontinued. The service building is worn and unclean, with grass allowed to grow to 25-30 cm. Check-in can be problematic, with no staff available upon arrival. Many visitors feel the nightly rate is unjustifiably high for the quality offered. The location along the Drau River remains a beautiful feature. However, for travelers seeking a budget-friendly or moderately-priced stop, this may no longer be a wise choice. Overall, the experience has disappointed many, with some stating they would not return. The site offers little beyond its inflated pricing and basic place to park.
