Set among tall pine trees, this campsite offers a tranquil, wooded retreat just a few minutes' walk from the sandy beach. Its location is a highlight, with easy access to the ocean, cycle paths, and the nearby town of Saint-Jean-de-Monts. The atmosphere is notably peaceful, especially in the quieter late-season months, and the natural shade from the mature trees is a delight on sunny days. Guests consistently praise the warm, welcoming, and professional team, from reception to entertainment staff, who are attentive and go out of their way to make stays enjoyable. The heated swimming pool is a popular spot, with clean loungers and a secure layout for young children, though it can become crowded at peak times. Entertainment and activities, including a kids' club and evening events like karaoke and boxing sessions, are well-organised, though the late-night noise can sometimes extend past 23:00. On-site dining at the snack bar and pizzeria receives positive feedback, but the small shop is limited to basic supplies and lacks fresh bread and essential groceries. The pitches and mobile homes are generally spacious and clean, with many nestled among the dunes and greenery, though some mobile homes are closely spaced, offering little privacy. Bike rental is a popular and well-maintained option, even late in the season. The campsite is family-friendly and welcomes dogs, though some guests feel that activities are primarily in French. Cleanliness is a mixed area: while some find the site and accommodations well-maintained, the sanitary blocks often suffer from poor upkeep. The showers have frustratingly short push-button timers and inconsistent water temperature and pressure, with a lack of hooks and shelves. Toilets are frequently criticised for wet floors, smells, and malfunctioning flushes, and the laundry area is too small with few dishwashing sinks. WiFi and mobile reception are unreliable, with some networks having no signal at all. Security concerns include an unsecured entrance gate and reports of theft, along with poor evening lighting on some pathways and sports areas. Despite these shortcomings, the campsite's calm, natural setting, friendly staff, and prime beach location consistently draw praise, and many guests express a strong desire to return.
