This Ligurian campsite sits right off the SS1 highway, making it a breeze to reach for road-trippers. The grounds show a somewhat shabby appearance, yet the many magnificent old olive trees provide ample shade and a refreshing coolness. Pitches are described as spacious and well laid out, offering plenty of room to spread out. The reception team is extremely friendly and helpful, embodying a genuine Italian 'no-nonsense' camping spirit. A small pebble beach lies just a five-minute walk away, though it can look untidy before seasonal cleaning begins. The historic Roman town of Albenga is a must-see, with many other worthwhile sights nearby. Guests need a daily card for hot water, which doesn't always work reliably, and there is no warm water for washing dishes. Visitors must remember to bring their own toilet paper. The sanitary facilities are outdated and in clear need of maintenance. A complicated token system for the showers often creates frustrating queues. While one guest found the showers impeccable, others note that hot water costs extra. One major issue is the adjacent disco, which thumps with loud music until the early hours and seriously disturbs sleep for some. However, several visitors report that the disco causes no notable nuisance, and that the true noise comes from a train passing twice an hour and aircraft arriving at Genoa Airport. The local visitor's tax is charged separately. Considering its location, space, and atmosphere, the campsite offers an excellent price-quality ratio. The water and washing facilities could be more consistent, affecting convenience. The overall experience is mixed, with basic services offered but several shortcomings in amenities.
