A strict policy of closing the gates and banning car circulation during the early afternoon and overnight keeps the atmosphere wonderfully calm. The location is a major draw: the beach, train station, and a large supermarket are all within a ten- to twenty-minute walk, though the return uphill can be a challenge with children or heavy shopping. The staff consistently earn glowing praise for their warmth, professionalism, and willingness to go out of their way—fixing car troubles, offering local tips, and creating a genuine family-run welcome that makes guests feel like regulars from the first visit. Sanitary facilities are a standout, with modern, spotless blocks, spacious rain-style showers, free hot water, and even chromotherapy lighting in some newer units; older blocks could use renovation and sometimes lack soap dispensers. The swimming pool is clean and includes a dedicated children's pool with water features, but mandatory swim caps are widely considered outdated, and the pool area itself feels a bit dated. On-site dining is a highlight: the pizzeria turns out excellent pizzas and fresh fish dishes, and a morning bread-and-pastry delivery service adds a lovely touch, though the restaurant may close during low season and service at the pizza counter can be slow. The mini-market is convenient but has limited fresh produce and may be closed in quieter months. Pitches are generally spacious, shaded, and private thanks to hedges and trees, though some are tight for larger units and can become muddy after rain. The playground is small and best suited for toddlers; animation is minimal and mostly evening-oriented. WiFi remains a weak point across multiple seasons, described as poor or unreliable, especially in tent areas. Extra charges apply for air conditioning, electricity on some pitches, bedding, and final cleaning—costs that some guests find excessive. Parking on-site can be tight in high season, and a secure lot is available just outside. The campsite welcomes families and dogs, and the overall vibe is relaxed, inclusive, and focused on recharging. Despite minor drawbacks like dim pathway lighting, a lack of toilet paper in some washrooms, and a beach shuttle that could be more frequent, the overwhelmingly positive feedback from repeat visitors confirms this is a peaceful, well-run retreat that balances natural beauty with genuine hospitality.
