This campsite on Walcheren is a well-maintained and tidy haven, especially welcoming to dogs and their owners. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, often going out of their way to assist, such as lending forgotten items. Spacious pitches provide ample room for vehicles and extra tents, making setup easy. The location is fantastic for cycling, with excellent routes leading to the North Sea and a beautiful beach just a 10–15 minute walk away. The region offers abundant opportunities for exploration, and kite surfers find the location ideal for their sport. While clean and offering free showers without tokens, the sanitary facilities can feel limited during peak times. However, note that experiences vary: some find the pitches unpaved and muddy after rain, with limited direct sunlight and no satellite reception due to tall trees. The nearby nature reserve Oranjezon is difficult to access, requiring a long beach detour. Quiet hours may not always be enforced, with reported noise from late-night conversations and cars. Sanitary blocks, though heated, are dated and not always truly clean despite daily upkeep. The on-site shop has limited hours and has seen complaints about expired meat. Yet, many guests appreciate the spacious pitches, ample water points, and the flexible ability to extend their stay, even if it means moving pitches. The overall atmosphere keeps some families longer than planned, drawn by good beach access and pleasant conditions. A separate section with a long row of spots in September 2023 suggests good availability for motorhomes and a straightforward setup for self-contained vehicles, making it a practical stopover or base.
