This family-run campsite beside a small lake offers waterside pitches that initially seem idyllic, making it a popular stop for travelers passing through to the Dordogne. However, the experience has sharply declined under current management, with serious cleanliness problems in the sanitary facilities, including dirty toilets and showers and a lack of toilet paper. The owner is described as very unfriendly, becoming angry over minor issues and refusing access to the restaurant; a guest was also denied the chance to dine with their dog despite no previous issues. The on-site food, though with reduced choice, tastes good, but the restaurant experience is marred by poor hospitality. Pitches are unkempt and poorly maintained, and guests can no longer choose their own spot. For those staying in mobile homes, the refrigerator arrives unplugged and takes 24 hours to cool, causing food spoilage, while the air conditioning unit only blows hot air and guests must request the remote as an extra charge. The microwave is inconveniently stored in a cupboard under the sink. Departure is problematic: the campsite gate is closed until 7:30 am, but a guest leaving at 6:30 am in a silent electric car was denied early exit, with the owners claiming they work non-stop for six months. Billing issues also arise, such as charging for three sets of bedsheets for one person, applying different rates for August and September, and charging a tourist tax for two people when only one stayed. Despite the lakeside location, the campsite suffers from poor maintenance, unwelcoming staff, and multiple operational headaches. The combination of personal hospitality and practical amenities is no longer evident, and while some guests previously appreciated a seamless experience, most now encounter serious frustrations. The old management was friendly and kept everything tidy, but the current state is a decline. Considering the high prices, many visitors expect better conditions. This makes the campsite a reliable and pleasant stopover only in memory, not in reality.
