This campsite offers beautiful views of the stars and the surrounding town, and it is generally peaceful and quiet. The facilities are good, especially during the high or summer season. The pitches are spacious, level, and shaded. Sanitary blocks are large and provide continuous hot water. Cleanliness is excellent, and the human-scale size of the campsite is appreciated. Its proximity to the village is convenient. There are outdoor children's games and a fitness room with professional equipment. However, some guests experienced issues with reception hours, as the office closed earlier than advertised on Pitchup. The phone number given on the confirmation was incorrect, causing a 30-minute wait to enter. The owner was described as abrupt and made guests feel unwelcome, with no farewell at checkout. Electricity was turned off exactly at noon checkout without notice. For a 28-euro nightly fee without electricity, the service did not meet expectations. The swimming pool was closed in mid-May, and the restaurant was also closed due to staffing issues, which were disappointments. Overall, while the site has many positive physical attributes, the unfriendly welcome and certain operational shortcomings discourage return visits.
