This small-scale campsite on the edge of Aigle resembles many French municipal campgrounds, with local sports facilities and a stunning swimming pool nearby. The site is flat and well-suited for tents, and guests enjoy free access to the adjacent pool, which features a sunbathing lawn and restaurant. While the campsite attracts many cyclists and hikers, who can use a communal tent with tables and benches, the sanitary block can feel insufficient when the site is full. Showers always provide hot water, but the shower rooms become completely wet after use, making it tricky to dry off. The friendly, accommodating lady who runs the campsite is a standout host, going out of her way to help guests. A supermarket is within walking distance in Aigle, and Geneva is a 15-minute drive away, though enjoying nature and culture often requires a car. The site itself offers several pleasant walking routes starting right from the campground, but the town center lacks a strong holiday atmosphere despite its castle and wineries. Long-stay and seasonal guests mix with shorter-term campervan visitors, creating a varied but not overly busy vibe. The campground provides a relaxed and welcoming environment for travelers exploring the region. It is an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts, especially those who enjoy swimming and cycling. The overall experience is enhanced by the proximity to local amenities and scenic trails. However, some facilities could be improved to accommodate peak crowds more comfortably. The combination of a friendly host and free pool access makes this a memorable stopover.
