Camping De la Ferme de Croas-Men
This family-run farm campsite, nestled in a serene setting and not listed in major camping guides, offers a unique blend of countryside charm and hands-on farming experiences. Cheerful green signposts guide you from the main road, though the entrance is narrow, requiring wide turns for caravans. Instead of a traditional reception, guests check in at the farmhouse, where Madame Cotty sells fresh butter, cheese, and eggs. The pitches are exceptionally spacious and diverse, each with its own character—some curved, others rectangular, some enclosed or open, and many offering stunning views of meadows and valleys. Our pitch, shaded by two apple trees laden with fruit, overlooked a pasture with grazing cows and a wide valley beyond. The campsite is fully integrated into an organic farm, with barns and stables blending seamlessly into the greenery, free of unpleasant odors. Guests are welcome to explore the farm buildings, see rabbits, calves, and chickens, and enjoy the old farmhouse furnished with early-20th-century antiques and a box bed. A combined museum and playground in the old barn displays antique farm machinery and offers ample space for children to play. The atmosphere is remarkably peaceful, making it ideal for both families with kids and older couples seeking quiet relaxation. Clean and well-maintained facilities, including spotless toilets and showers, add to the sense of care throughout the property. Children are especially well catered for, with a trampoline, sand-pit, toys, books, real farm animals, and plenty of playgrounds. A farm shop offering free apples and other goods adds charm, while free Wi-Fi is available in a pleasant room with sofas and tables. The campsite is conveniently located a 30-minute drive from the Roscoff ferry, making it a perfect stop for travelers. Despite some noise from children playing, the overall atmosphere remains tranquil, and the friendly manager actively addresses any issues, such as pet waste. This destination delivers a genuinely special escape, blending farm life with camping for a memorable retreat.
