The welcome is consistently warm and personal, with an exceptionally friendly owner and staff who speak excellent English, offer helpful local advice, and keep the atmosphere relaxed and uncomplicated. Guests can pre-order fresh baguettes and croissants daily, adding a delightful touch to mornings. The on-site bar and occasional snack van create a sociable hub, serving homemade crepes, burgers, and local specialties. The campsite is small and peaceful, especially after 10pm, with no artificial lighting—perfect for stargazing on clear nights. Pitches are mostly large and level, allowing guests to choose their own spot, though some areas are sloping and may require ramps for motorhomes. The sanitary facilities, however, are a recurring weak point: only a few toilets and showers serve the entire site, leading to queues in peak season, occasional cold water, and inconsistent supplies of toilet paper and soap. Cleanliness is generally praised, but the aging infrastructure struggles during busy periods. Wi-Fi is only available near the office and is unreliable elsewhere. Despite overcrowding in August and limited amenities, the extraordinary location, friendly staff, and tranquil vibe make this a highly recommended retreat for those who prioritize scenery and serenity over modern comforts. The nearby Sunday market, eco-friendly supermarket, and seafront bar and restaurant add convenient options just a short walk away.
