This campsite has seen significant variation in quality over the years, with reviews ranging from very positive to highly critical. Spacious pitches are a consistent highlight, often described as large, level, and offering both sun and shade with easy access to water and electricity. The swimming pool is another standout feature, frequently praised as wonderful and a key attraction. The owners, an English couple in recent years, are generally friendly and hardworking, creating a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. The on-site bar and bistro serve good, reasonably priced food, though opening hours are limited and the menu is basic British. Location-wise, the site is well-placed for exploring the region, with easy access to main routes, nice riverside walks, and nearby attractions like Puy de Fuy and Poitiers. However, cleanliness has been a major issue, particularly the sanitary facilities, which are often described as outdated, poorly maintained, and not cleaned frequently enough. Toilets and showers may be cramped in one cubicle that floods, and soap and toilet paper dispensers are often empty. Wi-Fi reception is poor, and there is no bread ordering service. The nearby village has little to offer within walking distance and is quiet on Sundays and Mondays. Some guests noted unkempt outdoor areas, flies, and a lack of maintenance around the bar and pool. Value for money is questioned, especially when fees seem high for the level of service. Overall, while the site offers a friendly atmosphere and excellent pitches, its inconsistent cleanliness and limited facilities make it a mixed experience.
