The nearby historic town offers plenty of cozy dining options and is easily reachable on foot. However, the site is divided into two sections: the inland side has flatter, more spacious pitches, while the cliffside spots, though uneven and requiring early reservation, offer spectacular views. Despite its natural beauty, the campground has seen little investment for years, leaving facilities in a poor and neglected state. Toilets and showers are basic and inconsistently cleaned, with only warm water available—not hot. Electrical hookup points are often faulty, with loose wires and difficulty finding a working connection. The site lacks on-site amenities such as a bar, shop, or restaurant; the restaurant and bar have been reported closed. Pitch markings are absent, with large open fields of grass offering no shade or privacy, and most pitches are uneven and sloping. Prices are excessively high for the level of service, and no discount schemes like ACSI are accepted. The staff is often unfriendly, and access to the beach can be difficult via rocks, with no other facilities on site. In August, the area gets crowded, but during early season, half the site is closed and nearly empty. The setting is perfect for nature lovers seeking a peaceful atmosphere, but those wanting comfort or reliable facilities will be disappointed. Many guests have left early due to disappointment, describing the experience as bad value. The campsite appears to be coasting on its past reputation without investing in upkeep, making it hard to recommend for a comfortable stay.
