The grounds can be uneven and pitted with holes, some hidden by long grass, making walking and maneuvering caravans hazardous, especially on unlit paths at night. The on-site restaurant features a real pizza oven and serves fresh croissants and baguettes each morning, though its food quality has received poor marks and its hours can be unpredictable. The bar is appreciated for opening early, from 8 am. The swimming pool has been inconsistently available, with reports of flood damage, frogs inhabiting it, or simply being closed, disappointing guests hoping for a dip. Staff are noted as attentive and responsive to complaints, but a serious incident involved a guest's ACSI card being handled carelessly and returned crumpled and unreadable without apology.
