Camping Covelo sits directly on the shores of Lake Iseo, offering spectacular lake views and unforgettable sunsets, especially from the sought-after lakeside pitches. The campsite is intentionally small, with around 100 pitches, fostering a friendly, intimate atmosphere where guests quickly get to know each other. Upon arrival, visitors are welcomed with a complimentary drink, and the staff assist with leveling caravans on the sometimes sloping pitches. The team, including Luca, Selene, and Macumba, is consistently described as exceptionally friendly, helpful, and attentive, always ready to address any needs. The on-site restaurant serves surprisingly high-quality food, including excellent Neapolitan pizza crafted by a dedicated pizzaiolo who uses fresh, seasonal ingredients. Some evenings feature live music and events, creating lasting memories. A small shop opens each morning to sell fresh bread, pastries, and coffee, which campers find a delightful start to the day. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with sanitary facilities cleaned multiple times daily. Pitches are spacious, with some spots closer to the water than others, and cars are parked separately in some areas, creating a calm and tidy atmosphere. The lake provides perfect opportunities for swimming, paddleboarding, and water sports. The nearby town of Iseo is about 1.5 km away via a pedestrian path, offering a picturesque boulevard, shops, and easy access to cycling routes. Beautiful walking and cycling routes around the lake are available, perfect for e-bikes. Pets are welcome, and the staff take good care of them. However, the campsite is adjacent to both a railway line and a main road, with daytime noise noticeable but generally not disruptive to sleep for most visitors. Some guests noted that music from the bar area can sometimes play loudly past 23:00, affecting late-night quietness. Pitches not directly on the lakeshore can lack privacy, as they are arranged in groups of four. Shower and toilet facilities, though clean, are basic and might benefit from an upgrade; hot water temperature has been inconsistent. The playground could be improved for children. Many visitors feel the price per night is high given the small pitch size and modest facilities in some years. Overall, the campsite combines a stunning lakeside setting with warm hospitality, excellent dining, and meticulous cleanliness, making it a beloved annual destination for many guests who express a strong desire to return.
