The spacious pitches offer plenty of room to unwind, and a small stream meanders through the property, adding a romantic touch to the surroundings. The on-site restaurant receives consistent praise for its tasty meals and drinks, making dining convenient and enjoyable. The lake provides wonderful opportunities for swimming and relaxation, while the surrounding area invites hiking and cycling adventures. The staff are frequently noted as helpful, friendly, and exceptionally welcoming. However, the experience varies widely. In some seasons, guests have reported serious booking issues, with the staff unaware of confirmed reservations upon arrival. The site can become very crowded, leading to shortages of hot water and long waits for the toilets during peak times. The sanitary facilities near tent pitches have been described as extremely dirty on occasion, a major concern for cleanliness. Noise levels fluctuate greatly, from the peace and tranquility ideal for a quiet retreat to disruptive behavior from loud guests that mars the atmosphere. Pricing has been a point of contention, with some finding the cost high, especially for small tent pitches, and ACSI cards no longer accepted—meaning standard rates apply. Wi-Fi is available but does not reach the restaurant area, and mobile network reception is poor or nonexistent, which may challenge those needing connectivity. On the positive side, the newly renovated sanitary facilities in some years are modern, clean, and even heated. A bread roll service is highly appreciated by guests. The entire facility has at times been meticulously maintained and clean, reflecting high standards of care. Ultimately, this is a campsite of beautiful scenery and strong positives, but potential visitors should prepare for possible variability in service, noise, cleanliness, and pricing.
