Tucked at the edge of the Sierra de Gata, this campsite is a haven for travelers in search of peace and natural beauty. It has been recently built or renovated, and guests consistently praise its immaculate condition — bathrooms, washing areas, pitches, and pathways are all kept spotless. The staff stand out for their exceptional friendliness and attentiveness, creating a warm, family-oriented atmosphere that especially welcomes children. The location is the campsite’s greatest asset: it lies right next to a river, with several natural swimming pools just a short walk away, and hiking trails begin directly from the grounds. The surrounding Sierra de Gata region is celebrated for its stunning scenery, adding to the sense of escape. However, the pitches offer very little shade, making summer afternoons uncomfortable; some visitors also wished management had provided more information during nearby wildfires. The campsite is quiet — too quiet for some, with few other children around — and there are no nearby shops for supplies. The on-site bar serves food, but its menu lacks drinks, which makes lunch or dinner feel a bit expensive. The pool closes at 8 PM, and many would prefer an extra hour until 9 PM. Overall, this is a lovely retreat for those who value cleanliness, nature, and calm over lively amenities or all-day sun protection.
