Set within easy reach of Konstanz, this campsite makes a practical base for exploring the city and its surroundings. Its prime location near Lake Constance is excellent for cycling and hiking, with direct lake access and well-maintained paths. Children appreciate the short distance to the water, and the overall family-friendly setting is a plus. The on-site pizzeria serves delicious authentic Italian-style pizzas, though guests may face long waits and a less-than-friendly chef. Reception staff are friendly and helpful, providing warm welcomes and excursion tips. Recent years show a shift toward cleaner sanitary facilities and a notably welcoming team. The site is compact but thoughtfully organized, keeping everything accessible without feeling cramped. Day trips or evening strolls into Konstanz are completely hassle-free. However, severe overcrowding has been reported, with pitches placed extremely close together leaving negligible privacy. In earlier years, sanitary facilities were cleaned only once daily and suffered from filth, leaking sinks, and a sewage smell. Showers were outdated with only a plastic curtain for separation. There are no shops on-site, so guests need to cycle to the nearest supermarket. The price is considered reasonable by some, but others find it too high for the quality offered. The gate closes at 8:00 PM with no staff available afterward. Despite excellent surroundings, overall value for money has been poor in the past. The tidy, friendly experience in recent years is something travelers would readily recommend.
