This beautifully designed campsite sits on the edge of Brantôme, just a ten-minute riverside stroll from the town's ancient monuments, excellent markets, and great restaurants. The pitches are spacious and mostly screened by hedges and trees, offering good privacy. Guests appreciate the generous pitch sizes and the ability to park a motorhome and leave it for the entire holiday. The on-site facilities include a lovely swimming pool and a playground for children, though the restaurant has been limited at times. Free Wi-Fi is available at the pitch, but the signal can sometimes be weak; bread can be ordered on request. The friendly French owners speak excellent English and are exceptionally helpful, making for a welcoming stay. The sanitary blocks are clean and well-maintained, and the site's location along the river Dronne adds to its charm. With all amenities within walking distance, this campsite is ideal for a car-free holiday, though one wishes it were open year-round. The campsite is perfectly situated directly along a river, offering a sandy beach for guests to enjoy. The individual pitches are remarkably spacious, providing plenty of room for large rigs or extra gear. The location is superb, just a 3–10 minute walk into the charming town of Brantôme, which is filled with lovely bars and ice cream cafes. The surrounding area provides ample opportunities for walking and cycling right from the site. Pitches can become soft after rain, but some sunny spots dry quickly and offer good privacy without tree cover. The staff are exceptionally helpful, going out of their way to assist with medical emergencies, including arranging appointments. It is also dog-friendly and offers good value, especially when using the ACSI card. On-site amenities include a standout swimming pool, which is exceptionally clean and features a dedicated adult-only pool, much appreciated by guests. Canoeing is available directly from the campsite, adding to the outdoor appeal. Although some guests found the site a bit tight for space, the beautiful riverfront location and proximity to town are major assets. This campsite offers beautifully situated pitches close to the river, providing a sense of tranquility and plenty of greenery. The staff are notably helpful and friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay. The sanitary facilities are clean, modern, and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort.
