This campsite is a well-positioned base for exploring Alberobello and its scenic region, with the surrounding area also offering excellent cycling opportunities. Guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, noting that the pitches are shaded and the setting is quiet. The welcome from the staff is very warm and friendly. However, the sanitary facilities are a significant drawback; they are outdated, of questionable cleanliness, and insufficient in number. The showers are described as tiny, and there is no hot water at the washbasins or for dishwashing, which becomes particularly problematic in cold weather. The site is primarily a transit stop designed for short stays, ideal for exploring the nearby trulli village of Alberobello on foot. It sits within a small wooded area that offers plenty of shade and a wonderfully quiet atmosphere, allowing children to enjoy the natural surroundings. The terrain includes many uneven, sloping pitches that may be tricky to level. There are no on-site amenities such as a shop, restaurant, bar, or entertainment programs. The campsite's greatest asset is its location within walking and cycling distance of Alberobello's iconic trulli houses, and it also serves as a central base for excursions to the Castellana caves, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, and Matera. It offers good value for money for travelers seeking a simple, no-frills place to rest while sightseeing in Puglia. In recent years, the sanitary facilities have improved in cleanliness, and include spacious showers with hooks and a shelf for toiletries. Guests can order delicious bread rolls on site. However, the campsite gets very busy even in early June, and finding a reasonably level spot for a campervan can be challenging. The staff are exceptionally helpful, and the site is clean, pleasant, and peaceful. It is within a short walking distance to the famous trulli village of Alberobello, and also offers scenic cycling routes to nearby Locorotondo. The atmosphere is welcoming from arrival to departure.
