The owners and staff are consistently described as exceptionally friendly and helpful, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests returning year after year. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with sanitary facilities regularly praised as spotless, modern, and well-maintained, though the older block can show some wear and peak times may strain cleaning schedules. The campsite maintains a peaceful, relaxing ambiance without loud music or constant animation, making it suitable for families with young children. Kids are well catered for with two playgrounds, an indoor play area, a barefoot path, and a swimming pool that is nicely heated but can be chilly early in the season. The on-site restaurant earns high marks for its tasty, reasonably priced meals, including dishes like lasagne and chicken satay, while the shop stocks fresh bread each morning and basic essentials, though prices are considered a bit high by some. Pitches are generally spacious, level, and bordered by trees, offering a natural feel and decent privacy, but a few visitors note cramped spots or unclear boundaries, and larger units may find the hilly access tight. WiFi performance is inconsistent, working reliably at times but struggling during peak hours, and mobile signal can be patchy. Water taps are conveniently located for most, though a few guests needed a bucket for distant points. Wastewater disposal has been reported as inconvenient, positioned on a high plateau where water can pool. The campsite is an ideal base for walkers and cyclists, with numerous footpaths and bike routes leading directly from the grounds to the nearby village of Larochette and its castle. Guests appreciate the recycling bins, late arrival accommodation, and the genuine camping atmosphere preserved by limiting rental accommodations.
