This campsite is a hidden gem run by a wonderfully welcoming English-speaking couple who go out of their way to assist guests, even helping with breakdowns and lost wallets. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, making it an ideal base for exploring the region. Pitches are spacious, flat, private, and well-maintained, suitable for large motorhomes and caravans. The sanitary block is consistently described as very clean and well-maintained, with ample hot water in the showers. The on-site bar and restaurant serve delicious food, including burgers with a special sauce, fresh pizzas, and local Estrella Galicia draft beer, all enjoyed with fantastic views over the estuary. Fresh bread and croissants are available daily for breakfast. WiFi coverage is excellent throughout the entire site, a boon for staying connected. Two swimming pools offer a refreshing dip, set within beautiful gardens and lawns. Many beautiful sandy beaches, including Caion, are within easy driving distance, making it a popular base for surfers. The location is ideal for day trips to A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela, and the scenic Coast of Death. The owners provide superb hospitality and local knowledge, leaving a lasting impression on guests. While the narrow entrance requires careful maneuvering, friendly staff usually guide guests to their pitch. Dogs are welcome, though local walking routes are limited and occasional barking at night has been noted. Overall, guests frequently recommend the site and express a desire to return for the excellent service and serene environment.
