The location is praised for its proximity to the cathedral and a large shopping center with a major supermarket just a short walk away. However, the site is built on a steep slope, and the central roadway and access roads are challenging, especially for larger motorhomes and caravans. Pitches are consistently described as very small, cramped, and often not level; even with vacancies, guests can be packed closely together. Some larger corner spots exist, but vehicles over seven meters will struggle to maneuver, and motor movers are sometimes needed. The on-site restaurant earns enthusiastic praise year after year, offering excellent meals at reasonable prices, and the bar is also well regarded. The swimming pool, however, receives mixed feedback: some years it is noted as a decent facility, while elsewhere it has been called dirty or closed early in the season. The sanitary facilities are a mixed bag; they are often clean and well-maintained in some seasons, but in other years reviewers report dirty toilets, outdated showers, and a lack of hot water or soap for handwashing. Shower buttons require frequent pressing, and the facilities may be closed during periods of low occupancy. Noise levels vary greatly: in some seasons the site is quiet at night, while in others a construction site and a nearby football pitch cause disturbance from late afternoon until nearly midnight. WiFi works well in some years but is absent in others. The staff receive very mixed feedback; some are friendly, English-speaking, and even exceptionally helpful, while others have encountered unfriendly welcomes, silent check-ins, and visible sighs. The ACSI card is not accepted, and credit cards are also rejected. The campsite is widely considered overpriced for the quality of pitches and facilities, with many feeling the rates exploit the location. A bus stop a few hundred meters away offers cheap rides into the city center, while walking takes about 25 to 30 minutes, though the return is steep. The road access is also difficult, with a narrow entrance and steep hill. Overall, this campsite is best suited for short stays focused on visiting Santiago de Compostela’s cathedral; those seeking spacious pitches, peace and quiet, or modern amenities should consider alternatives.
