Nestled among nature reserves in the Basque Country, this campsite offers a stunning natural setting that encourages guests to extend their stay. The site is divided into two distinct sections: an older area with small, shady pitches beneath trees and a newer section with spacious 100 m² plots. The newer side currently appears somewhat barren, as newly planted saplings are still small and provide little shade. Guests are advised to position their caravan with its back to the north to shield against the persistent strong winds that are common in the area. The campsite exudes a genuine Spanish vibe with a slightly bohemian, hippie-like atmosphere that many find charming. Despite its size, the site maintains a peaceful and quiet environment, especially on weekdays when it is wonderfully serene. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and provide excellent information about local walking, mountain biking, and road cycling routes. The on-site restaurant serves genuinely good food in a cozy setting, and a well-stocked shop covers daily needs. Clean sanitary blocks and plentiful, well-maintained showers and toilets add to the comfortable stay. An indoor heated pool is available and can even be used in late November, while a large outdoor swimming pool is also present. The camping grows its own vegetables, adding to its authentic, self-sustaining feel. Guests appreciate the selection of books available for swapping, adding a cozy touch. The surrounding area is perfect for walking, with staff offering helpful advice on local routes. A highlight is the ability to visit the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, located about 68 km away. The price during late autumn is more affordable than the ACSI card rate, making it a highly recommended destination for nature lovers seeking a laid-back, authentic Spanish camping experience.
