Perched on a hillside in the Languedoc region, Camping Al Comu rewards guests with sweeping panoramic views that stretch all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. This tranquil haven is beloved by repeat visitors who return year after year, often extending their stays by weeks, drawn by the serene atmosphere and warm welcome. The owners, Muriel and Gijs, are exceptionally hospitable and go out of their way to assist with everything from technical issues to advice on local attractions. Each morning, you can order fresh, delicious baguettes, adding a simple, delightful ritual to your day. The campsite is wonderfully peaceful and not specifically aimed at children, making it ideal for adults seeking quiet relaxation. Its hillside setting offers stunning views over Perpignan and easy access to white mountains, the beach, and nearby villages like Llauro with its lovely lunch restaurant. The surrounding area provides excellent opportunities for hiking and cycling, with walking routes starting directly from the property available as GPX files. Pitches are spacious with ample spacing and excellent privacy, and some boast those incredible panoramic views. A daily social gathering around a communal table with drinks adds a friendly, spontaneous touch to the stay. While the sanitary facilities are a bit dated, they are maintained in spotless condition. Washing machines are available on site for guest convenience. The campsite is particularly popular with guests aged 60 and over in the off-season, which further enhances the calm environment. Dogs are wonderfully welcome, with a fantastic circular walking trail just a four-minute drive away. It's a place that leaves a lasting positive impression and inspires repeat visits, a true gem in the region.
