The setting is both tranquil and beautiful, offering a serene atmosphere that nature lovers will adore. Beyond the lake, the site serves as an ideal base for hiking, cycling, and water sports, making it perfect for active travelers. Guests are consistently wowed by the spacious pitches with convenient water, wastewater, and electricity hookups, especially those lucky enough to secure a spot by the lake. Some pitches even offer direct views of the Brienzer Rothorn mountain, adding to the charm. The sanitary facilities are described as top-notch luxury, featuring private shower cabins with sinks, mirrors, power outlets, and benches, plus a strong stream of warm water. Cleanliness is a top priority here, with the facilities cleaned multiple times daily, rivaling a high-end hotel. The on-site restaurant serves good food with a rich selection of dishes, providing convenience after a day of exploration. However, the restaurant has been known to impose strict time limits on dining, and the small shop operates with erratic opening hours. The playground is great for children, and shaded pitches are available, but pitch sizes can vary considerably; one visitor noted a small pitch of just 45 square meters that also had to accommodate a car. The ground surface may be gravel rather than grass, and the presence of many permanent pitches can reduce the social atmosphere. Advance reservations are not an option, making spots extremely hard to come by, though some campers find peace on a quieter overflow area. The management has been criticized for unilaterally canceling confirmed bookings and handling deposits poorly, leading to a prevailing sense of unprofessionalism. The remote location lacks public transport, and occasional noise from military jets and trains can be heard but fades into the background. Despite the booking difficulty and service inconsistencies, those who secure a pitch are rewarded with a dreamlike location, generous lot sizes, spotless amenities, and a beautiful, quiet environment.
