This campsite enjoys a delightful location with convenient access to Amsterdam via a nearby metro station, making it an ideal base for exploring the city and surrounding areas like Vinkeveense plassen, Muiden, and Naarden by bicycle. The park itself is lovely and features a scenic pond, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy beautiful cycling routes nearby, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The combination of urban accessibility and natural beauty makes it an appealing choice. The overall setting is described as cozy and inviting, enhancing the camping experience. This location strikes a nice balance between city access and peaceful surroundings. However, the experience varies greatly by year, with some seasons marked by excellent service and others by severe issues. Pitches are spacious and well-tended in good years, often encouraging visitors to extend their stay. The sanitary facilities are generally very good, featuring private washing cabins and coin-operated showers. However, the shower system requires coins for five minutes of water, but the button needs to be pressed every half minute to keep the water flowing, which many find impractical. Water points are not available everywhere on the site, so you may need to walk a bit. For families with children, there are limited activities on site, making it less suitable for younger guests. The campsite also accommodates caravans and offers a peaceful atmosphere for those looking to relax or use it as a springboard for cultural excursions. Unfortunately, some seasons report extremely poor experiences due to aggressive management, cramped pitches, inadequate electricity, and unreliable facilities. Overall, the campsite provides an attractive natural setting with excellent transport links, but consistency in service and basic amenities remains a concern.
