Nestled in a beautiful Cornish valley, this campsite offers a wonderfully convenient base for exploring the region's stunning beaches, many of which are just a 20-minute drive away. The staff are consistently praised as exceptionally friendly, helpful, and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure every guest has a pleasant stay. On-site amenities are a major draw, featuring a lovely heated open-air swimming pool, a modern bar and restaurant with outdoor terraces serving delicious food including homemade pizzas, and a well-stocked shop. Evening entertainment is a highlight, with live music on most nights, bingo, a games room, a shooting gallery, and an arcade keeping all ages amused. The site is particularly popular with families, offering a dedicated playground and a secure dog walking park that even includes a fenced-in pond for four-legged friends. Pitches are generally level and spacious, available on both gravel and grass surfaces, with electric hookups for campervans and caravans. Fast and reliable WiFi is available throughout the entire site, a welcome bonus for staying connected. Cleanliness is a strong point, with the toilet and shower blocks regularly maintained and often described as immaculate and modern. However, some guests find the pricing on the higher side for camping pitches, with additional charges for early arrival or setting up a gazebo. The lively evening entertainment, especially the live music, can be quite loud for those pitched nearby, detracting from the peace and quiet. A few visitors have noted minor maintenance issues like unreliable hair dryers or an occasional lapse in restroom cleanliness. Despite these drawbacks, the overwhelming majority of guests are charmed by the welcoming atmosphere and top-notch facilities, with many extending their stays or booking return visits.
