This campsite serves as a practical base for exploring Bergen, with a direct bus connection at the entrance. While it offers clean facilities and well-equipped amenities like a large kitchen, laundry, and private sanitary cabins, the experience varies by season. In earlier years, the site was appreciated for its cleanliness, excellent shop, and dog-friendly policy, though pitches were small and Wi-Fi unreliable. More recent stays highlight significant downsides: extreme lack of privacy with tightly packed caravans on gravel, poor drainage leading to flooding after rain, insufficient and noisy toilets, and unhelpful staff. The nearby road causes constant noise, disturbing light sleepers. Some newer bathrooms are fantastic and spacious, but showers require extra payment. Overall, it remains a convenient transit stop for city visitors but is not recommended for extended stays due to crowding, privacy issues, and noise.
