This riverside campsite sits along the Inn River within walking distance of Prutz, offering spacious pitches with stunning mountain views that make it an excellent base for hiking, cycling, and exploring the Oberinntal valley. Guests return year after year, drawn by the consistently spotless sanitary facilities, which many consider the cleanest they have ever experienced. The owner and staff are notably friendly, helpful, and welcoming, going out of their way to accommodate last-minute arrivals even when fully booked. The site's location provides easy access by car, bike, or bus to nearby destinations such as Landeck, the Kaunertal, and the Inntal, with the Via Claudia Augusta long-distance cycling route running beside the site. A free bus with a guest card stops about 500 meters away, though most guests choose to drive to attractions like Serfaus for mountain hikes, which involves a winding road with paid parking. The constant murmur of the nearby Inn River is calming to many, though some might find it noticeable. The site remains quiet despite being beside a through road, offering excellent access to walking and cycling routes in a scenic area ideal for exploring by car. Bright lights stay on all night, keeping the entire campground illuminated constantly, which may bother light-sensitive campers. The sanitary block is modern and exceptionally clean, with some of the best showers encountered, and a dedicated dog shower is available for pet owners. A camping shop on site sells basics and ice cream, and a coffee machine offers decent cups for one euro. Two pitch sizes are available, with the larger option easily fitting a caravan with awning and car, and an overview board shows available pitches when the reception is unattended. Internet access comes at an extra cost, and the bathrooms are not heated on cooler autumn days. The on-site restaurant doesn't open until 6 PM, limiting daytime dining options, and office hours are too short, with no barrier at the entrance. Many campers are just passing through, creating some restlessness, but in high season, advance booking is strongly advised. Guests appreciate the picturesque backdrop of the Alps and the friendly, hospitable atmosphere that makes them feel right at home. Despite minor drawbacks, this campsite is highly recommended as a short-stay base for exploring Austria, offering a pleasant and scenic setting for both adventure and relaxation.
