Abbey Green Farm is a small, family-run campsite set in a peaceful rural location with lovely views. The owners, Rose and Philip, are consistently praised for their warm welcome and attentive service. The site is exceptionally clean, with shower and toilet facilities frequently described as the best guests have ever seen. The three spacious shower rooms include a toilet, sink, and mirror, and there is an additional toilet and indoor washing-up area. Pitches are level and large, often hedged for privacy, with electric hookups available. The campsite is very quiet with no road noise, surrounded by lanes ideal for walking and cycling. A standout feature is the food service, including homemade stone-baked pizzas, breakfast sandwiches, cream teas, and ice cream, which can be ordered in advance and delivered to the pitch. Pizza requires 12 to 24 hours notice, which some found inconvenient. The site has a small play area visible from most pitches, though some families wished for more equipment. Dogs are welcome, and there is a field for walking them. Recycling facilities are excellent, and the site uses its own treatment plant, accepting only green toilet fluid. Access is via narrow single-track roads with potholes, which can be challenging for larger vehicles. Hardstanding pitches may feel tight, and grass can become waterlogged in poor weather. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and considerate, with guests often expressing a strong desire to return.
